Wait yeah I do dissociate but it's not really like zone out dissociation most of the times it feels like most of the things I do want by me and I see parts of myself as not me and I feel detached sometimes so maybe that could play a big factor but yeah just like u said I'm not gonna put too much thought
Though a good amount of today, i’ve been actively forcing with Luna in my head but I’m noticing something that’s confusing me
1:15 AM
In my mindvoice, halfway through my sentence forming when I know what I am asking, I sometimes get a response from her before i’m even finished asking and it slurs my thoughts
Is there ever a point where they can completely separate and both the tulpa and the host can think separately at the same time

I consider the brain to have one overarching consciousness, and the people/identities/whatever-term in the mind can utilize it

So "being separate" and "happening at the same time" conflict, because to observe them happening at the same time, there'd need to be awareness of both, which sounds to me like being not-separate
1:21 AM
Unless you meant to ask something less complex, lol
But yeah, multiple-different-conscious-processes-at-the-same-time is generally called parallel processing, aaaand most of us don't believe it's normally possible
(As in multiple of the same type, otherwise of course the brain is capable of multiple different things at the same time, ie walking and talking and doing something with your hands and visualizing your tulpa)
KIZO!
Like all of our thoughts don't mix or are exposed to each other until we're switched or blurred
Reading what you shared, it does sound like the parallel processing Asmask talked to me about some time ago
I remember him telling me he can hear his tulpas thoughts when he's close to them and not when he's far away. He also mentioned memory differences.
I don't agree with Asmask's views, but for me it's fascinating to see another system saying the same thing
I actually became more lose with scepticism about parallel processing by lowering the bar and accepting that some level of comfobulation is part of it(edited)

Luminesce: Here's a post I made (in my own thread as well) about different skills it's possible to train/utilize that could offer a "parallel-processing-like experience", that to this day three years later no one has followed up on lol(edited)
Luminesce: It would be nice to see someone put in the effort and report back on their progress, tulpamancers have been pretty lazy in recent years(edited)

Oh sorry, ignore the first paragraph, it was unrelated
i did have experiences kf having a few chains of thought happening at the same time - without the plura context
To me it just seemed normal and making it into something magical was just turning me off
I see no reason why a tulpa claiming one of the chains of thought to be them
1:03 PM
if someone wants to call it „two consciousnesses”…… sure, call it whatever you want
Luminesce: Basically what I was getting at is people are still limiting themselves too much. I don't think multiplying your brainpower to perform two of the same mental activity at once is possible (aside from incredibly rare exceptions of gifted people), but I sure as heck don't think any tulpamancers are even close to the limit of what they could do yet.(edited)
"But can you walk while talking to someone while checking the weather on your phone while imposing (or visualizing) your tulpa walking with you while counting seconds in your head? Probably not, but is it impossible? If not, then to what extent can this mental muscle be trained?"
Ok, I'll admit I've always been a 'parallel processing' skeptic but this post is somewhat changing my mind
Luminesce: Those are just some ideas I brainstormed because, despite not being interested personally, I was disappointed in the lack of exploration the community was doing on the subject(edited)
The whole community seems a little less "wild west" now than the last time I was around in 2018
1:12 PM
Less new guides, fewer absurd claims, more rigidly defined ideas of what's possible/how to do things (although this last part has become more rigid in the sense that "it's whatever works for you", not "here's a prescriptive task list," which is how it was in 2018--there were just a lot more task lists)

I'm sure, but one day I want to try and experience parallel processing to see it for myself. Overhyped yes, maybe I'm the only one excited yes, but I think the base experience is interesting enough!
A long kiss goodnight

yeah from the beginning i was saying that what people were describing as PP was just not that special rather than impossible, and i was saying they put the bar much lower than you would expect from the hype
3:47 PM
sure you can daydream while you do somethimg - it is a studied phenomena
3:48 PM
i gues my views on PP are now more consistent with my views on tulpamancy - the experience matters, not your explanation of it(edited)
I can't really wrap my head around this somehow because me and Benn/wane have been able to do different things at the same time sometimes I think he goes into the wonderland
Luminesce: Basically, the brain itself is only consciously aware of one of them (the one who's switched in, so normally the host)
You could say a tulpa is experiencing such things too, but it's unconscious, not as "visible" to the brain's consciousness(edited)
